If you’re worried that your child’s photo-op with Santa Claus might not go so well, this post won’t help. If your photo-op has already happened and you want proof that it could be worse, you’re at the right place.
I’m never sure if I’m supposed to feel amused or heartbroken when I see photos-gone-wrong of kids bawling in Santa’s lap, but regardless, I can’t look away. The only thing we can do is hope things go better next year!
1. The Big Scream
This would be the perfect time for a dentist to show up.
2. The Runaway
There is definitely something creepy about being taken out to the woods to sit in some stranger’s lap.
3. Terrified, Multiplied
You’d think at least one of them would be happy to be here.
4. Triple Cranky (and One of Them Isn’t a Kid)
Santa looks like he’s not so sure he should have signed up for this.
5. The Drooler
It’s so bad for this kid that he’s losing bodily fluids. I hope he isn’t about to pee next. Actually, that might be a good strategy for ending this operation.
6. Upside-Down, Happy Kid
Here’s a nice break from the screaming. Maybe all the other Santas should try this technique because it seems to be working pretty well.
7. Little Screaming Santa
The youngest is screaming because he didn’t want anyone else to have the same outfit. Santa doesn’t look thrilled someone copied his look either.
8. Is Santa Related?
Santa mocks big sis while little sis tries out a self-defense move.
9. Sheer Horror
This kid is questioning his whole existence right now. (His own, not Santa’s.)
10. Al Bundy
This Santa looks remarkably like Al Bundy.
The oldest kid is going to make it out, but will he save his brothers?
12. Get Me Out of Here!
Santa’s optomistic that she’s going to smile at some point, and he’s ready. Don’t think it’s going to happen.
14. Angry Jumping Jacks
These siblings took the same approach — angry jumping jacks.
15. Jingle Bell
She’s just mad that the first gift of Christmas is a measly old bell.
16. Tough Guys
Yeah, Santa, we can take ’em.
